***UPDATE: Since this video was done, there have been some minor changes in the Google Places listings. The first change is that Google Places is now showing only the reviews that have been made on Google and is now just showing a link to outside review pages such as Yahoo, Angieslist, etc.. The other change is that the “More About This Place” section, also known as the Citations list is no longer being displayed on the Google Places listings. By all accounts, both outside (other than Google) reviews and citations are still being factored into the Google Places rankings, so all of the recommendations in this video still apply, you just won’t see the outside reviews and citations on your Google Places page.
