Although it’s free, manually getting citations to boost your Google Places listing can eat up a lot of time. If you’d prefer to invest a little money to save you a lot of time, I recommend you check out Universal Business Listing (Note: This is a cleverly disguised affiliate link – although the disguise is much less clever when I give this disclaimer – but I will be paid a commission if you sign up with Universal Business Listing). The following video explains how it works.
****Update - Since I posted this video, they’ve added a “Basic” submission service for $39, but you have to search a little to find this option on the UBL website. If you scroll down to the bottom of the package comparison chart shown on the video, there is a link to purchase the Basic package. Most businesses will benefit from the step-up to one of the more inclusive packages, but if you’re on a tight budget, the $39 basic package is a good deal.
